My name is Damian Osuna. I was Spartacus's last handler. After the Peace Treaty was signed, all of the dogs at Da Nang were sent to Saigon for evaluation to be turned over to the Vietnamese. I found out from one of the K-9 handlers at U-Tapoa who worked with the vet in Thon Son Nhut that Spartacus was put down because he would not accept a Vietanamese for a handler.
