Da Nang Air Base
Republic of Vietnam

Hey Greg and gang,

Don't know about you guys in DaNang but once a month we had to pull one day in our dump on the North end of the base to keep the locals from robbing all our garbage.  These people would come through the wire 10 and 20 at a time and apparently not get cut by the razor wire. Not knowing if any of them wore black pajamas at night, we would normally turn our dogs loose once they were inside.  Remember on one occasion turning Dutch loose and watching an old buzzard about my age of 70 outrun him to the fence and about that fast go through the wire.  Guess as they say one man's trash is another's treasure.  Look at the old wire behind me in the background. More stories to come- the snake story and road runner cartoon is the best.
