Bob Bedford remembers one night on post at Da Nang where it was raining like all get out. He was out with Hilda and some wise ass Marine who he knew came by and started charging at Hilda. He wouldn't listen to Bob to stop doing that so Bob says that he let the leash slip off his hand.

Hilda took advantage of that and ended up biting the Marine on the butt.

Bob to this day will tell you that she slipped her collar because of the rain that night.

Bob's sure a lot of you will remember it because word got around that someone had let their dog go and everyone was talking about it on the way off post and back to the kennels.
