Every one has passions. I have 2 that I freely admit to, kayaking and soccer. I started refereeing the sport in 1993.

In 1998 I got a call from the League that I participate in saying that my daughter's team needed a coach and I was selected to be it. I didn't even know that I was in the running for this job. Well I must know something about it because I managed to accomplish 7 years coaching and always coming within the top 4 teams every one of those years. Once we even took First!

In 1995 I started to referee the indoor version of the game, Futsal: http://www.futsal.org/ I started refereeing at the California State Tournament in 1996 and in 2003, 2004, and 2005 I was invited to participate in the U.S. National Championships as a referee. I have since started covering High School Games in my local area.

In 2000 I started to track the number of games I accomplish every year. But I must admit that I am slowing down on that. Where I used to do 200+ games a year, I now see around 100. Still, as of April, 2008 I have managed to do 889 total games since 2000, of which 52 are High School, 119 are at the State Level and 71 are at the National Level. Not bad for an old puppy pusher
